I’m running an event in Melbourne on 12 August at 6.30pm. You can find the details here.
But first some background:
Like it or not, we live in revolutionary times. Everywhere I go I find conversations about working in a different way. Some of the regular themes include:
- unleashing human potential and creativity
- working collaboratively across silos and organisations
- building tribes and communities with trust
- the shift away from patriarchal structures and the rise of feminine values
- a new environmental awareness
- putting values at the centre of everything we do
- being authentically human
But it is not all sweetness and light! The old structures of power and control are holding on for dear life. Many people still live in the grip of fear and with a scarcity mentality which says that they can only win if someone else loses.
It is by no means certain that humanity will make it through this transition period!
Over the last year my work has deepened at an accelerating rate, and I sense that many other people are experiencing a similar deepening. What I offer now is a package of support through individual one-to-one sessions (in person or on Skype) for anyone who is on the journey of discovering their own inner genius.
That word “genius” needs some explanation.
For the Romans, who first came up with the word, genius was something that everyone was born with. It was the guiding spirit, something like a combination of destiny and soul. The ancient Greeks called it the ‘Daimon’. James Hillman in his book The Soul’s Code: In Search of Character and Calling explores these meanings and develops the metaphor of an acorn which carries the image and the potential for the complete magnificent oak tree within it. But although everyone is born with that potential destiny, not everyone grows into it.
The event next week will be a chance to explore some of what it means to develop human potential at this deep soul level – in ourselves and in others. I will include material about Talent Dynamics as part of this along with much else.
There will be many more events like it, including some longer weekend retreats out of town where we allow the natural world to awaken whatever is calling out within us to be awakened.
But there are no quick fixes. It is a journey – and it is a uniquely individual journey – which is why these events will be supported by the offer of an ongoing one-to-one relationship.
I am supported in this work by The Earth Institute, of which I am an accredited guide and facilitator.
Meanwhile, on to the next event, which will look at the themes of Passion and Flow: How to make the most of your greatest asset – People. And of course the first person to include is yourself. So even if you are in a team of just one person, this is for you! It is a “Pay what you feel is appropriate” event, because everyone is different, some will get more value from it than others and some can afford to pay more than others. I am also open to offers of non-financial payment – an exchange of some sort.

I’ll keep you posted about future events.
